well it works just fine for me on 2 different systems that I have tried. Take your link down if you don't want to waste your bandwidth. Anyone else?

Edit: It takes awhile on 56k to get the file and I am having trouble playing it, but the file itself comes thru just fine.

My wife and I watch his show all the time . That room was AWESOME ................:TU: :TU: :TU: :D

But I agree , They should have hid the cables .

It doesn't work from any of the systems here at work... I'll try from home I guess... I'll leave mine up until my bandwidth runs dry, I don't use it for anything else anyway... 39% of it has been used up so far... So a few people have gotten it from me since you put your link up...

Does it look ok for everyone, or does it have the problems I mentioned?

Jav400 03-08-2004 09:47 AM

Could be some administrator settings at the office that keeps you from getting it. I used dialup on a different machine and it came thru fine, although almost 6MB did take awhile, and there are some problems with running it. I recommend that everyone wait until the complete download finishes before starting it.

drfish 03-08-2004 09:52 AM

I set the administrator settings, it's not them... ;) Strange... Oh well... I'll just take mine down in a couple hours if no one has a problem but me...

It came through fine for me, both links. I want a bedroom like that. I think it is too good for a child.:D
[kiddding of course]

Looks like a WMP9 720x480 video to me. If it plays choppy or fast, it might be if you did not convert the audio to 44khz first.

I'll have to install Premiere to produce Quicktime versions of this.

ABC.com put up the info for the Mendoza episode this morning, and it does include SereneScreen. However, instead of indicating that it's a web site, they just listed Prolific's PHONE NUMBER. Just what Prolific needs - a zillion phone calls while they are trying to move to new offices.

Marian Nichols 03-08-2004 11:56 AM

laughing, but I bet they don't think it is so funny

Jav400 03-08-2004 12:05 PM

After all this time I still don't think that anyone has displayed the aquarium credits properly. A simple contact from someone planning to utilize it would be so beneficial.

feldon34 03-08-2004 12:18 PM

There is still no "Press Info" button at SereneScreen.com or Prolific.com. A couple of paragraphs and key points about the product, who publishes it, and high-res photos would be useful.

drfish 03-08-2004 01:01 PM

The video link suddenly works now... I have no idea why it didn't before...

patscarr 03-08-2004 01:09 PM

The pictures Morgan posted look great, and the video worked fine for me and looked great also, except for that little bit of glare on the plasma screens. It looked like wide screen displays running a stretched version of MA2 to me.

drfish 03-08-2004 02:00 PM

I was going to say something about that, but I was going to wait until I got home and watched the full size version again... If that's the case, it'd sure be nice if we could hook her up with the widescreen version...

MadBob 03-09-2004 11:42 AM

I noticed it says "SereneScreen Hyper-realistic tropical fish screensaver/DVD"

does this mean the DVD is actually around?

drfish 03-09-2004 11:55 AM

Where did it say that? They were only using the DVD???

Jim Sachs 03-09-2004 01:07 PM

Yes.

drfish 03-09-2004 02:01 PM

Bah! That would explain the stretched look... Prolific should hook them up with a computer with triple display capabilities now that MA2.01 is out... That'd be some good press... Add a wireless keyboard and mouse while they're at it too...

Heck, they gave that other kid a laptop that controlled a telescope on the roof (and the older one a car and a job), I don't think a computer for her would have been too much...

Jav400 03-09-2004 02:02 PM

I guess that makes sense instead of setting up a system to run it. This way she can watch TV, or run the aquarium.

iMark 03-09-2004 02:09 PM

We used the DVD before we bought a computer just to run the salt water aquarium and the goldfish on our plasma. The DVD works fine, it's a tad stretched but nothing that people who don't know better would really notice. It loops through 6 scenes ( if I remember correctly)...each scene has different fish. It runs for something like 2 hours. We are much happier running the actual screensaver, esp with the new wide screen version.
