Strechy!

Panthera 04-11-2003 12:48 AM

Woah.. what's that???

Tiny Turtle 04-11-2003 01:55 AM

That would be the return of a old friend of the forum: "Super Tang"! (or by the looks of it – his trusty sidekick Forceps Butterflier). As to why he chose now for a comeback – I'll leave that to someone smarter.

I assume it's one of the fish models. I don't know what caused it, but it was like that until I resetted (the "fish" moved around in swirly stripes up and down my screen, it wasn't static like that).

Wow, leaps tall reefs with a single fin flick ???

Spits out balls of flame from its gills ?

X-fish vision ???

Its very trippy

drfish 04-11-2003 05:12 AM

Looks like an Imperator to me...

Tiny Turtle 04-11-2003 06:23 AM

Nah, there's no horizontal blue striping. My money's on a Forceps.

Its name is "trippy the saltwater fish"....the fish that took to much LSD.

Tiny,

ROFL. That is what I thought. Super Tang Strikes Back! I forgot how we solved his last time. Maybe it was a problem with his hardware. Maybe this problem would have a similiar solution?

drfish 04-11-2003 05:32 PM

I gotta disagree with you Tiny... Programs don't always crash from left to right... Where's the blue coming from? It's the face of the Imperator being smeared against the front of the tank... You can even see some of his eye by the bubble column and his lips on the right side of the image... I'll bet the Lionfish had something to do with it, he doesn't like the new big guy on his turf... :)

diverslung 04-12-2003 03:39 AM

all the same what it is - it also happend with mine...
I just couldn't post it because I wasn`t fast enough to take a screenshot.

Tiny Turtle 04-12-2003 04:35 AM

Ok, doc. After some de-stretching in Photoshop I agree. Probably was George the Lionfish too ;)

It happens after I run the DirectX 9 test in DxDiag, and fixes either after a few runs or on reboot.

Also, the bubble column is severely messed up in software mode (where I get a stunning 4 fps).
