Big one or small one
My favourite no. of fishes is 7 in MA2 and 8 in Widescreen version.
When I compare two aquarium, the Widescreen version give me more SereneScreen. I think there would be two choices of aquarium : Small one = current = 30 gallons ( People just want more realism that Jim has given us already ) Big one = NEW = 90....120 gallons ( People just want more space to let the fish to swim FREELY as the Widescreen version did but the WORLD is NOT ENOUGH ) In some restaurants, a very large aquarium display will make people to eat more than they could. Why ???? Let's vote for big one or small one............ |
Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't Jim's Marine Aquarium already representational of an ~200 gallon tank, with the average fish representational of juveniles between the sizes of 3"-4"(inches)?
If this is true, then the WideScreen version of the Marine Aquarium would already be a representation of a much larger tank being in the 200+ gallon range. Wouldn't it be? Jim, what is an estimation of the size (# of gallons) that the WideScreen Tank is representational of? PS Louis, I believe sometime in the distant future, when Jim get's around to finishing the 3D background for the Marine Aquarium it is planned that the size of the tank will be slightly increased over the current widescreen version & you will be able to camera pan back & forth between both sides of the tank. Also, the # of fish may be increased to ~10 or if we are lucky maybe a few more than that. Like I said that is Jim's plan, but he has never promised those things to us. And like many things in life, plans sometimes change. :) |
Thats about right

I designed the Aquarium to be life-size on a wall-hanging Plasma display. Let's say that would be about 48" wide by 36" high. If the Aquarium were 20" deep, that would make it 20 cubic feet, or 150 gallons. The widescreen version is 25% wider, or 187 gallons.

Jim.... Have you tested (seen) your SS on such a screen? That would be one impressive sight, enough to make one start drooling.....

Yes, I've seen it on Plasma displays many times. There are a couple of examples in this month's American Dream Homes magazine.

Some one please go buy that issue and post the picks!
