Fixed image screen burn

I have always understood, perhaps wrongly, that it is the fixed images on computer screens that damages them. Thus, when a screen saver is activated the picture is always changing. With the Marine Aquarium, what is on the screen, apart from the fish and the bubbles, does not move. My question is why will this not eventually damage the screen.

For the most part today's monitors don't suffer from burn-in like the older ones did, although it can still happen. But, I would doubt that you will have the sceen saver running continiously for the amount of time it would take for this to happen. I personally have used this screen saver for years without any damage at all, and my system runs 24/7. Only recently have I started making use of energy saver mode and having the monitor shut down after 30 minutes of inactivity. Before that it ran continiously all night long every night and most of the day until I returned, no shadows are burned in of any kind. You should be fine. :)

To prevent burn-in, don't turn off the automatic lights. That's what they are there for.
