Monthl prefixes

Hi, how do I find out what is being changed in each release, and how often do these take place? And do I have to download the full exe?

Jim Sachs 03-21-2010 01:48 PM

Announcements are made here on the Forum. The current version has remained unchanged for several months, but I'm working on a new Background Color interface. Should be into testing in the next week or so.

Each new version is a full download which completely replaces the older version. (The file really isn't all that big.)

The last update was June 5, 2009.

Thank you Jim.
Is it possible use a windows wallpaper as background color?

Jav400 03-24-2010 08:23 AM

I would doubt that one.

Jim shoots for realism as much as he can, and having someone use just any wallpaper would probably not be the best idea.

I can imagine Jim's horror if he walked in some store and saw his aquarium backed by Lady Godiva or some such.

The background is a 3D rectangle, set behind everything else. The top two vertices are set to one color, and the bottom two to another color. Direct3D then provides a smooth wash between the two.

damn has it really been almost a year between releases! :)

You know, if I had read the above post, I wouldn't have replied the way I did in another thread moments ago.

Ah, live and learn.
