4k resolution UHD models
4k become more popular in our days .
It is not UHD model https://scontent-lhr3-1.xx.fbcdn.net...12&oe=5D2F0471 Full screen picture https://scontent-lhr3-1.xx.fbcdn.net...7d&oe=5D48FA8D |
The fish textures need an upgrade. I've actually upgraded a few of them in a private version I built for myself.
|
Yeah, the textures could be sharpened a bit, but it still looks pretty good for a program I designed for 1024x768. :)
At the time, it was important to me for the entire program (including textures) to fit on a floppy disk. |
I didn't know textures were moddable, I need to try that myself. While the meshes are also in need of an upgrade, a texture update would help quite a bit in making MI3 look more modern.

Had to visit the site, as usual lol. Been a while I think. Upgrading to a more modern look would be amazing! I'd easily pay for it! Otherwise, if there is a way for us to do it on our own, I'd love to learn.

The only way for us pick up definition is to max the frame rate would love to try your private fish stock as a patch file?
|
Dang. Was hoping this thread was flourishing lol. I'm willing to pay for a true 4k/60fps build!! Just sayin'.

The resolution adapts to anything the video card is putting out. Same for the framerate -- the program easily handles 120 fps with 3D glasses.

At 4K/120fps, 3% cpu and 6% gpu are being used hehe. That being said, I still haven't even seen a screen saver to this day that looks this good. |
For some time I've been toying with the idea of re-writing the program in the Unreal Engine, including more detailed textures. The only thing that would make it interesting for me is if someone would come out with a glasses-free 3D system.

I started with Unity, mostly because of the massive resource store, but it uses C#, which I was never comfortable with. Unreal uses standard C++, and nearly all Hollywood productions have switched to it.

I suggest Udemy online courses for both Unreal and Unity.
