** Marine Aquarium 2.0 SELF-UPGRADE **

As Reichart posted, we have finished emailing all purchasers of MA that requested email updates. If you did not receive your MA2 keycode via email, you can now upgrade yourself using our MA2 Self Upgrade form.

In the future, we will be adding a form to the site so you have a method to automatically upgrade your old email address to a new one to keep up to date with the latest.

Purchasers of the CD/boxed version of Marine Aquarium can upgrade to Marine Aquarium 2.0 by going HERE!! and clicking on "Upgrade for CD Owners"

If you have any problems with the upgrade process, please post them here so that we can address them.

Thank you for your continued support,

-Jim

Jim I have tried the upgrade process shown , entering my email address and key code given when I got 1.1 received on 21 February 2002. It states its not in the database and to contact customer support. I am very lazy deleting emails and still have the email I received and so I know the details are correct.

I have already sent an email to the service email address giving all the details I have except the 1.1 keycode. Should I send another email with the key code?
Thanks

Do not send multiple emails to Customer Support. It just causes us trouble. Auden may download the first message and spend a long time processing it. The next day Paula might download the second one, and look up the records. She might spend even longer than Auden did on the first one, because every indication shows that a Key was generated, the right email address is in the database, etc. So she has to dig deeper to find out why the customer didn't get it. She'll email the customer, asking if his spam filter might have deleted the message. Valuable minutes wasted, with thousands of other customers waiting.

A Helpdesk system is starting to sound like a good idea. :)

I just upgraded at the web site and it worked great.
Thanks!

The self upgrade doesn't work for me, it says that my email address could not be found. I've registered for the first key code on October 18, 2001 and for Version 1.1 on August 25, 2002

Please help, thanks in advance!

Jim Sachs 03-30-2003 12:13 AM

Not sure exactly how to help here. No one in the database named ZiggyAZ. Lots of people from Arizona, but which one are you?

Self-Upgrade

I too tried to use the auto-upgrade entering my original code. It does not have my email in the database.

I forwarded my original keycode registration email to service.

xrayspex 03-30-2003 09:53 AM

I had to do it 3 times on the website until it finally found my data. On the third try i finally got my key. The first two times i tried i got the same message as you guys. I also know i did not type anything wrong..it just could not find my data.
Finally, the third time i tried it, it finally found my email and old key and generated a new one for me.

By the way..i love the upgrade!

Jim, I've been registered in this Forum as "ziggy" since November 2001 and have not posted for quite some time.

Now I can't access it anymore because I don't remember my password and my email address can't be found in the data base.

Please email me at resc@cox.net - I'll be happy to provide all the information you need. (I've emailed support@serenescreen over a week ago to receive the key code and have only received 2 standard responses, asking me to be patient.)

Thanks a lot in advance!

Worked great for me first time. --- Thanks

feldon34 03-30-2003 01:29 PM

Ziggy,

I have sent a re-activation e-mail for your old account to resc(at)cox.net. I'll see if I can marry the posts from both accounts together.

Bubbadude 03-30-2003 06:32 PM

I tried the self update, but I don't think it will work for me because my e-mail address has changed and they didn't have it in the data base. The keycode will work so how do I get my new address in their data base?

feldon34 03-30-2003 07:24 PM

E-mail them your old and new e-mail address in a single message.

Thanks a lot Feldon & also thanks to Jim who is trying to help me with my key code.

Just wanted to let Mr. Sachs know what a great product he has created (as if no one has said this before). I have been unable to self-upgrade, but have emailed support.
I have been a long time fan (in fact, my browser is still set to the www.fish-byte.com website), but never joined the forums (guess I learned my lesson!).
Alas, some day my code will come!

Schnaaps 04-01-2003 12:21 PM

if you need to change your email address, you need to noftify service@serenescreen.com.

Please, and I can't state this enough, Please do not email them more than once about this. The volume of email that they are dealing with is amazing, and sending multiple emails only slows down the process for you and everyone else.

Seglesto: I suggest that you try the upgrade link provided above. it that does not work, then email service and they will help you out.

This form was pretty useless. It asks for the original email address that you signed up with, which I faithfully provided.

The next page presents me with NOT my new code, but a message saying they've sent my new code to that old address.

Um, I haven't used that address for two years... why the hell couldn't it provided an extra field for your NEW address or just given me my freaking code?

Now I had to email tech support which usually results in getting ignored. I don't understand why every version requires a new code, they'll just come up with a new keygen. Piracy is a part of life, live with it.

feldon34 04-05-2003 12:11 PM

Because anyone could go in and put someone's old e-mail, then their new e-mail, and not only have they hijacked the actual purchaser's account, but given a keycode to someone who didn't buy it.

E-mails sent to Service(at)SereneScreen.com are NOT ignored.
