Glad you have been enjoying the aquarium for so long, and welcome to the forum. Glad you made it.

As for your question, some of that is subjective and depends on the type and size of the fish. But, a general rule of thumb for a Marine tank is 1/2" of fish per gallon of water. More than that and you are pushing the limits of healthy. Of course to a certain extent, more frequent water changes, better filtration, etc etc can extend this somewhat.

I think Jim's tank simulates about 200 - 250 gallons. Therefore about 125" of fish would be considered "normal" and healthy for this size tank if you used 250 gallons as your basis. All of Jim's creations are juveniles, and would probably be in the 4-5 inch range in length, so realistically if it's 250 gallons, probably about 25 juveniles would be fine. The problem would come with age and growth, some would have to go.................................
