I have the same chipset with just an athlon 1.2 and GF2MX on XP. It's smooth as butter.

I could not say the same thing for the KT266a board I just dumped though. It jerked all over the place. It was a problem in the design of many KT266 motherboards relating specifically to NVIDIA card. It had to be replaced with a later revision board.

Anyway, it would run smooth for a half hour or more, then it would start to skip something awful. I tried EVERYTHING for months. Replacing the motherboard eliminated it instantly.
