Mon 29th Dec. - The Aquarium DVD arrived today.
It's a great novelty! - but unfortunately that novelty does soon start to wear off a little.
- As we had already been told, it's only in 4x3, and whilst the distortion at 16x9 surprisingly does not really look too bad, it's difficult at any format to get it to match up to the definition we have become used to, from the screensaver version on our computer monitors.
Having said that, for $8.79, I have no regrets about sending for it, though it would have been nicer in 16x9 and with higher definition. Some control over the setup, like the screensaver version, would also have been nice, but I don't see how that could have been done with a DVD!
The cover art on the case is beautiful, unfortunately the content is just a little disappointing, - the transfer to DVD does not quite live up to expectations, - IMHO!
A nice addition to the Serenescreen collection though!
ps, - At least it contains the original Queen Angel! .... that can't be bad!
