Cammo, Not sure if you are dissing me or not, but my "loaded" Dell 8200 has a 64MB DDR NVIDIA GeForce3 Ti 200 video card. This is with a 1.9 GHz Pentium 4 and 512 MB ram on Win XP Pro. I would guess your slow rate is due to your vid card, unless you have lots of processes running in the background. What Op system are you running and what is running in the background (programs, net activity. etc.)?
And Hellbound, lots of people run at the high res with a big screen to see more desktop real estate (well, programs and data and such). Perfectly do-able, even for my 40 year old eyes.
