To get the most dynamic range out of my 7.1 setup, I've set an exceptional input sensitivity. I believe that when I get my new Xonar Sound card that the design improvement will allow me to normalize this situation and all will be well. The Vsync I had tryed before but at my ATI driver level. It does slow down the FPS to 60 where I get a buzz instead of a steady whine but then when I use the mouse or FPS jump the sound goes from the buzz to the whine and back with considerable irritation as you can imagine. Nothing will stop this until I limit the noise generated, block or filter it. I can even slightly hear my Hard drives search and mouse movements eminating through my speakers. Not that a normal person would notice. I'm one of those idiot audiophile musicians cursed with good ears. I'll just raise the volume and cover it up till then.

Thanks for all your help guys. I think I have a handle on it. On-Board AC97 sound sucks! (can I say that?) LOL
