They eat all fish you put in the tank rather quickly (one at a time). (It's an impressive sight to see.) Now, if you are talking about the baby arowanas, they can be in a tank with larger fish and they aren't too bad with them until they get hungry. It would be nice to see a baby one in the tank though. Arowanas are hard to maintain because they need extra care and die if they are mistreated (tapping on glass at petstores).

bro i have been keep arowanas with other tropical fish around for 1yr + so far there they live in perfect harmony...

there are many professionals in the forum who keep a whole tank full of many arowanas which is a magnificent sight and they live together peaceful..some example

arowanas are tough fish if u know the proper ways to care for them many have kept their fish alive for 10+yrs....
i have a friend whose arowana just died aged 29yrs....
