Shoals of fish ?

I remember a while back discussions about groups of fish being added so that they could shoal together, is this planned ? or would they be treated as a single fish and move in a group as one big fish ?

It would be cool if occasionally one would split off from the pack, go around another fish and then rejoin the group.
