Bubble sound delay

On the beta and installed copy, when it starts a 6 second delay happens.
This is with the music unchecked. If it's restarted within a few minutes, it's
fine (bubble sound starts immediately) but after about 15 min. without
running, the delay is there again when it's restarted.

No big deal at all, really. Probably just my sys config.

I thought we'd fixed this long ago. The sound starts instantly on my machines.

What is the specs of your system and what settings did you put the sleep settings? The sleep settings can be seen when the status display is on.

Not sure if this is the right spot to report this , but when I'm adding music to the playlist , the track being played will skip like a vinyl record , and then jump back to the point where it should have been in the first place . I will supply system info if you need it , as so far it is only on my laptop and not on my desktop .

Edit -
Oh , just reading back , I generally have the sleep quite high ( fps around 40 ) , so this might be an unnecessary post .

The sleep setting is at 17 so cpu is cooler (temp) for a fps of 62 or so.
My system is:
Pent. 4 dual 3.2GHz
Nvidia 6600 GT
Realtek HD Audio v5.10.0.5324
Win Xp SP2

Put the sleep at 10, (default?) and it worked normal. Moved it up to
17 again and the delay returned, so maybe something to do with it.

No problem, I'll ignore the delay. No big deal.

Well, today it starts immediately sometimes. If it's (SS) is started and closed
10 times in a row, maybe 6 of those have the delay. Sure wish I could get
this figured out. Installed the latest DX9c yesterday & that didn't help. Also,
the 'Sleep' setting don't have anything to do with it. Any number from -1 to 30, the same thing happens.

Can you think of anything short of del it, to get it to work all the time?

I have the fix for this but it won't be in until Jim has a chance to merge his code with it so he can release a test executable.
