Good to be missed
I guess if you don't post any thing for a wile eater the software or someone notices and sands you a massage, I just clicked on the sight & got this message " Hello StuDisney, it appears that you have not posted on our forums in several weeks, why not take a few moments to ask a question, help provide a solution or just engage in a conversation with another member in any one of our forums?" It is nice to be missed.
but I am just waiting for what Jim will give us next. "Our greatest natural resource is the minds of our children."

Yes it is good to be missed, but for some reason this way just don't make me feel all that special, like I'm just one jellyfish in an ocean of many.

Hm,
I had 512 new posts when I logged on today and I missed that message. Thanks to Morgan, Tiny Snapshots is up and running again with "Tiny Järvafält" as the latest addition – Go have a look and tell me what you think.
"We knew the world would not be the same. A few people laughed, a few people cried, most people were silent. I remembered the line from the Hindu scripture, the Bhagavad-Gita. Vishnu is trying to persuade the Prince that he should do his duty and to impress him takes on his multi-armed form and says, 'Now, I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds.' I suppose we all thought that, one way or another." /Robert Oppenheimer on witnessing the first thermonuclear detonation in history. |

It's not going to be "Happy Halloween 2009" in the banner, right?
Looking forward to the surprise...! Meanwhile, I'm just back from a week's holiday spent on/around a narrowboat in the rain. Glad to be back. Did anyone miss me? Edit - found the surprise! Nice surprise.

Nice to be missed -SURPRISE- nice to be remembered
Yes dispite not wanting to be reminded that one more year has already passed on in ones life, it is so lovely to sign up onto the outlook Express and find the message ">>>>
----- Original Message ----- From: "SereneScreen Forum" To: Subject: Happy Birthday from SereneScreen Forum > Hello PaulsPics, > > We at SereneScreen Forum would like to wish you a happy birthday today! my response just now is :-- Many thanks for your goodwill, over these years since 2002, when I stumbled on Jims excellent and relaxing programs. Now this Beta 3 is simply SUPER and all is well and this 'Old 'guy can relax late at night to a nice clean tank, ambient music and think of the old times that I had a real but expensive salt water tank, with expensive fish that died time to time, urine skimmers to clean out, UV tubes to purify the water, Salt encrusted tank top, and Algae to clean off the glass, oh ! And not to forget to feed the fish, esp. the Pterois Volitans Lionfish. Who made cleaning the tank a bit risky with ones arm exposed whilst scrubbing thhe glass clean and those Anemones that wandered - always into the water filter pump intake, and what a mess to clean up. One can enjoy the program without all those worries. Again regarding the matter of the Music picking list, I have found a CD of Hawaiian music that does suit this program, late at night, off a disk called " HAWAII'S GREATEST HITS " by MCA Records MCA31149 to be very suitable late at night and I presume that since I bought and now own that CD that there is no breach of any copyright in making copy of the tracks suitable for this very ambient program of Jims, into my folder within SS to pick from and save when " removed as explaine in another section in this forum, of course at other times Canon is great mixed with other classics and I am most happpy with these results. I see some members still asking about music problems and my short answer is to look at the attached screen grab off BETA 3 music picker, they all work fine and flow along without a glitch. Thanks to Jim once again Best wishes from Sydney Australia Paul Shallow Paul’s Pics Aust please note that the icon will not change? I am not sarcastic !! should be cool with big grin

Happy Birthday Paul, and yes I remember all those things as well. Jim's tank is much less upkeep, but I do long for those other days. I may set up another tank, maybe 150 - 200 gallons. Of course I have been whining about doing this for some time now. Maybe I am cracked.
Best wishes down under

Old chores , now relegated to the garden, with 1 Goldfish
Thanks for your added wishes Michael, We needed the space for another bedroom for our growing family many years ago now, so the tank ( do not recall how many gallons but it weighed a lot even empty) , about 6' long and 3' high so it was placed in the sunroom in a sort of cave I made in the wall with a slate surround with outer glass in the garden. ran the garden hose into it and placed a single Golfdfish in, (yougest daughter was asked to look after the fish during summer vacation from school )
Well here we are some 25 years later, kids have all grown up with families of their own and the Goldfish is still going strong, I think that all the Algai ( green ) and the sunlight has kept him / her ? in condition, all cleaning is now done from outside, so no beef from the wife. I think he will still be there after I am long gone. If this gives you any ideas and need a pic , I could post one taken this year, the major problem is the changing weather and winter cold, so heaters out of the question, but then he is a Coldfish !!! Regards from your Piscatorial friend and forum member pAUL this icon is wrong, should be Cool with Aussie sunnies on ! ?
