Is it possible to add custom graphics, text etc. the clock/calendar in Marine Aquarium 2.6 running Mac OS X 10.4.5?

Thanks

Not while the clock face is on the screen, but you can put your own logos in the crystal.

Marine Aquarium 2.6 for Mac doesn't have the insert logos capability. I have it nearly done for a 2.6.1 release (free upgrade to anyone with 2.6). I have to write the UI for moving the logo within the crystal for centering purposes. Doing it through the keyboard was too complicated with multiple monitors showing different styles of tanks and/or different logos. Other than that it is complete.

Still think most users are going to use PNGs.

Format support will be VERY wide. I used a 1 Gig tiff and it worked.

With the PC version, you have two choices:

* Import 2-bit (no greyscale, no color) BMP.
MA does all the embossing and everything for you. Logo is saved as MA_Ext.p1p. Quality is average. Many users try and fail to get the results they want with this and then they try...

* Save one or more finished 256x256 32-bit PNG files with transparency into:
C:\Program Files\SereneScreen\Marine Aquarium Time 2\
This feature doesn't work if there is a MA_Ext.p1p file present as mentioned above.

What's the Mac version going to allow?

Any supported image format (pdf, tif, png, gif, jpg). I don't intend to do the processing on the image at this point. Obviously images without transparency info won't look good. Adding a check box to make me do an attempt at the crystalization effect may be an option.

Great news!
I'll be looking forward to the update.

Thanks!

The rc2 build fixes an upgrade from a particular CD problem and a crash of the system prefs application caused by QuickTime. The Logo isn't there yet, but my schedule is now allowing me to address this again.

Heh, no. Just about to release GA2 with Intel and a surprise. I'm sorry for the delay.

Marine Aquarium 3.0 has this feature as described. You can position your artwork (PNG, jpeg, tiff, psd, etc) into the preferences panel via drag and drop or a file dialog, then scale and position it on the crystal using your mouse. You can loop through clocks and your art or just your art.
