My Freshwater Cardinal Tetra tank has the same mid to dark blue painted backing and that makes it as if you are looking into the distance.

Are you saying that you would like MA3 to permanently stay at dark blue? If so, it's easy.

Just bring up the Background Colors menu, click into any box, and set the top and bottom colors to dark blue. Something like 0,36,100 should do. Then turn off Automatic, and Bob's your Uncle.

Hello Jim

What I was wanting was it to go from blue daylight to a black night.

I have ticked boxes 1, 2, & 3 in the Background Colour Sets and it seems to be working now

All the colour sliders are still the same.

Red 116

Green 180

Blue 254

It looked like all I had to do was tick the third box.
