I think in the past I may have been longer on criticism and shorter on praise. Now, after watching the latest GA for a few days, I must say that I've got smiles for miles. With five fish in the tank, good looking plants, and bubbles, it's quite a piece of eye candy. I of course have Oreo, Algernon, and Ginger always in the tank, and they have been joined by my two new faves, Frank and Morgan. This tank is a beauty!
I can't wait until the next installment of MA. But then, which will I have as default screensaver?! Ah, choices...gotta love 'em. |

What is needed in the pond view, in my opinion is a reflection on the surface of the water as it ripples, plus plants like water lillies. The reflection could be the sky, clouds or whatever, but not opaque, translucent. with light sparkling here and there.

I have a feeling that it's due to the new bit of shadow mask that's been laid in just there. (Check the background wireframe mode in 1618 and then 5034 to see what I mean) It's probably just not been layered quite right.

Opaque water over gravel
Hi folks,
RE: build 5034. I'm unsure whether this is a variant of the 'transparent fish' syndrome or not, but I thought I'd mention it anyway. On at least 3 occasions I have seen a fish swim through the area between the rock on the far left and the small rock in the middle, directly over the gravel, and behind the rocks. When it does so it appears that the water between the fish and the viewer becomes grey and somewhat opaque. It could be a vague image of the gravel being superimposed; I'm uncertain. Perhaps it is a case of a 'sprite' , or whatever it's called, not being properly ordered. This happens briefly, and I haven't been able to get a screenshot, and I don't have time to sit and wait for someone to swim through that area (as relaxing as it is ) Perhaps the Talents behind this excellent software can reproduce the problem. Anyone else with this experience? My stats, if it helps: Asus P4t533-c P4 2.53 GHz 512 Rambus Leadtek A250 GeForce 4 Ti 4600 Creative Audigy Gamer Win XP (sp1) Direct X 9.0b Game Commander 2 Joystick: Logitech Freedom 2.4 Cordless (USB) Mouse: Logitech MX700 Cordless Optical (USB) Sorry about the length. Cheers, |

New version coming
We think we have ironed out a lot of problems, plus added 2 more fish.
We should have it posted on our website next week.
