Hey, remember me? Just browsing through this place again after a long absence.

Kuhli loaches would be cool, but in order to do justice to them at all, you'd have to really do some behavioral coding. I mean, they don't move anything like a "normal" fish. They squirm like worms, they wiggle like eels, they burrow in the gravel and hide, etc. Would be sort of tough to replicate, I'd think, but it would be neat, all right.

This is what always bothered me a little about the clownfish in the saltwater tank. It doesn't swim anything like the way a real clownfish swims. Are individual fish behaviors still slated for a future upgrade?

Clown Loach will be in the first set of fish. Kuhli will have to wait a while.

will the freshwater saver have some enhancement like the last announcement from GA team, like feeding, search for food, alpha teritorial, changing the speed, point of interst, or maybe some "love dance" when more fishes from the same art in the tank?

And the answer will always be the same. When its ready for release. Jim refuses to work towards a posted deadline. The deadline then becomes the important part of the process. He prefers to works towards creativity, stability, and realism. When he feels he has met those personal requirements, it will be released.

At the moment I'm in the middle of my annual Catastrophic Hardware/Software Failure, where every piece of hardware and software totally fails. My main machine started randomly locking up a couple of weeks ago, and now just gives a DOS General Protection Fault error when it tries to start. So right now I'm on my daughter's Sony Vaio, but the connection is extremely slow. The Send light is constantly on, like a virus has taken over and is always sending. I'm trying to download Norton Internet Security, but the file is huge and I'm stuck at about 1k per second.

very bad news. after so hard working the best thing is allways to save the work and the working station every day. Power Quest Drive Image and Norton Ghost are some of the best tools...

Poor Jim, I know you feel like tossing the lot out a ten story window. If we all thought that would solve the problem, I guess we all would have done so by now, LOL Hang in there, takes some deep breath and call it all the four letters words you know of, it won't help, but maybe you can let off some steam. Good luck, Marian

Will we need new video cards to run the freshwater screensaver or will it be able to run with the ones we already use for marine aquarium 2?

You should be able to run with the same cards. As everything gets more envolved, fps will take a hit of course, but hardware marches on.

I'd like to hear what card you have. I think TnT Riva 2's would be the minimum but I'll let Jim speak.

I'm using a Riva TNT2 in my main development machine. At least I was until the computer blew up.
