Feeding the fish
Hello, I was about to post a question/suggestion about a future opportunity to feed the fish, but then I come across this post:
We are planning to add some cool movement that would really move the fish up a notch. Including we are actually working on "feeding the fish." But we are trying to do this really well, not just "drive up to food, make food disappear” This looks just great, is this still on the schedule? We want the fish to: a. Notice the food. b. Attempt to get to the food faster then its competitors. c. Come check out food bits that even landed on the floor. d. Not bump into each other when going for food. e. Actually suck the food into the mouth (requires us to move the mouths to the next level as well, which we are planning, for that sucking movement). f. Flocking, so that when one fish sees food, the other fish start to take notice also. g. Alpha male territorial patterns for food. I can't wait to put my right arm over the monitor to pretend feeding the fishes and then in the hidden click a key with my left arm. Eyes on spectators will be just like Morgans !!! |

How did I get involved here? I have nothing to do with the Goldfish Tank.

Yet, another reason to have different color backgrounds for different forums.

I doubt that you will see that. You have no idea just what you are asking. Background color isn't just a switch somewhere, it ties in with other areas, especially in vB3. So if you change it, you have in effect changed it in other areas also. Not to mention the fact.............Just what color do you want it to be? Its gonna clash with the header, and then we have to design a whole new header that would match that color. We already have to make several to go with the color options that are being worked on already trying to get vB3 up and running.
Get in the habit of looking at which forum you are posting in.

Because it was a color that already blended with the scheme at the time. Like I said, vB3 is very different. What works here may not work there in certain instances, and alot of things have to be reworked. Thats why it is taking so long to get vB3 up and running. Some things have to be remade from scratch.

I'm not sure what this discussion has to do with feeding the fishes. But anyway, here is a tool I made for VB long time ago:
