Saw anemone + clown fish today
Today, Dec 15, 2005, in Miami, I saw Serene screen at Office Depot that has an anemone and a couple of clown fish (rather large ones.) Is this a new version that has been officiallly released?

Sorry, Jim...
So sorry, Jim... In the excitement of the moment, I did not look very carefully. Come to think, I was a little disappointed because it was not very good as we all are accustomed with your babies. That must have been a copycat. They sure did copy a lot of your concept because the coral background looks very much like yours. The brownish anemone was in the middle of the screen in the foreground with tentacles moving about, and two rather large clown fish swam in/out of it. But it was not very well done. However, it does look like yours at first glance. I will go back to have a more careful look tomorrow. Do you have any idea whose product this is? This display is right next to yours in the store which is in the new Office Depot store on Kendall drive just West of US 1 in South Miami.

Photo of anemone
Here is a photo taken today. Reduced to 1/3 original size. The white streaks are reflections from surrounding lighting. The anemone does move and the maroone clowns like to go in there. I didn't want to wait to catch them going inside the anemone.

No,you are mistaken lannp, that's only one of the tanks in Aquazone Desktop Garden, the best fish screensaver (Salt & Fresh water fish) from Japan.
You can buy it (English version) at : http://www.allume.com/win/aquazone/

... Did you see I said I was sorry? On first blush, it looks similar, but on close inspection, of course not... I rate Jim's a 10, and I give the copy cat a .... 4? may be. There. May be a 3.5

Just wanted to say that I bought Aquazone DG and a couple expansion packs, and Im really impressed. The fish behavior is really nice and the backgrounds are beautiful. Hate to say it, but I think Jim has fallen behind the competition.

I would respectfully disagree. Jim's fish are definitely better. I stood at Office Depot and watched the Aquazone fish. They look "flat" to me. Jim's fish look just like the real fish I have in my 200 gal reef aquarium in my house. Except I spend $200+ a month to upkeep my real tank (water replacement and lighting maintenance.)I thought you were on Jim's side. I can't wait to see Jim's anemone. His reef definitely looks like mine, but not the Aquazone, which looks more like a photo.

A fish screensaver always has the strong point or defect and you like it or not depend on your opinion.
If I like clownfish, lionfish in MA2 the most,I also like the way Tetrafish or sardine swim in ADG,they are so real. An another interesting screensaver is AquaReal, the fish can dance with bubbles.
