Marine Aquarium 2.6 for Mac OS X (excluding Snow Leopard)
Marine Aquarium 2.6 is a Universal build and runs on the new Intel architecture Macs as well as the PowerPC Macs back to Mac OS X 10.2.8.
Marine Aquarium 2.6 features the beautiful Clearfin Lionfish, with textures 4x as big as previous Marine Aquarium fish, and the Achilles Tang. There are two backgrounds, the original and the Crystal background with the cycling calendar/clock. As with every release of Marine Aquarium for Mac OS, multiple displays and wide screen displays are supported. Please download and try before you get out your credit card, the new lionfish may be taxing for older systems with little video memory. The SereneScreen website text about not supporting Intel will be replaced.

The SereneScreen website is not up to date to match the DMG to download. In particular, the FAQ may not align in all respects with MA2.6. I'm sure that it will be straightened out quickly.

What version is/was current for Mac OS X?
http://www.serenescreen.com/product/...iumx/index.php
This page says 2.6 will be a free upgrade from 2.5. Yet the link on the same page says 2.0.6 is the current version of the product. Can somebody clearify? |

Hi Ed.
I've marked the link to be corrected. It has lagged reality in a few places. MA2 and MAT(ime) have been merged into one product, which is MA2.5 and MA2.6. The last non-merged product is MA2.0.6. Hopefully this helps. There is a LONG thread on the PC side about this.

Will MA2.0.6 continue to be an available download for people with the Tiger bubble bug?

MA 2.0.6 should be available online (probably through the FAQ) for a good while for those people who have purchased the CD which has an earlier version on it.

Does the Windows version of the Aquarium run on a Mac running Windows?
http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20060405/tc_nm/apple_dc_5 I think this is going to work in Apple's favor, as people can now justify buying a Mac because it will run Mac or Windows programs. And I think the Mac interface will appeal to a lot of people who have never even considered it. There are definitely some bugaboos that drive me nuts about the Mac interface but I'm sure Vista will be a lot like that too.

I have the new iMac and am running both Windows and Mac OS on it. I am truly becoming a Mac convert...and can't wait to toss Windows off it...unfortunately I am still having to use some MS programs until I figure out what Mac software will take it's place (FrontPage, etc), EXE stuff too.
Any tips from you experienced Mac users on how to use Marine Aquarium on the Mac side? I purchased the CD years ago, and upgraded through SereneScreen to the 5.95 upgrade version...of course it's all EXE files though. |

As this thread statesm the Mac version of the Aquarium works on the new Intel Duo iMacs. Try downloading and running the Mac OS X version at Serenescreen.com
