Pat - Prolific is the online publisher, Encore is the hard-copy publisher. Online is easy; when a new version is ready, we just put it on the Internet. Hard copy is the one that requires package design, disk manufacturing, SKU-number assignments, and scheduling of shelf-space with Costco, Best Buy, Wal-Mart, etc.
My per-copy profit on the hard-copy version is so microscopic that I never really took it seriously. But then we lost all the big chain stores due to the age of the product, and my online sales also dropped dramatically. It appears that having the packages visible in a lot of stores was acting as advertisement (since we have never had any actual advertisement). So, instead of cutting into on-line sales as I had originally feared, it was actually greatly increasing them.
