"We knew the world would not be the same. A few people laughed, a few people cried, most people were silent. I remembered the line from the Hindu scripture, the Bhagavad-Gita. Vishnu is trying to persuade the Prince that he should do his duty and to impress him takes on his multi-armed form and says, 'Now, I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds.' I suppose we all thought that, one way or another." /Robert Oppenheimer on witnessing the first thermonuclear detonation in history. |

Poor Ed, I imagine you've been removing the "L" for most of your life. I have the problem of having an apparently unpronounceable and non-gender specific name.

Yep . Ever since 1st grade it has been Shirley , Shoey , Sherry . But hey , I got over it . Now I just tell people my name is Walter . But I do go by my middle name which is Edward ,or Ed .
But most of the time around here at home I'm Grandpaw or paw-paw .

My name is often confused with the Hebrew name, Leah. Pronounced Lee - uh, or in Spanish, Lia
