Register.com already does that for me with simple name-aliasing.
So, who would you recommend?

I was just reading on the frontpage about the implementations of the 3D background and how it is coming along. Also was mentioned the creatures pack and I saw where the squid or cuttlefish might be included. I do hope so!

Software is something that's never completed, which makes it one of the most frustrating fields to be in. So, a percentage of infinity is meaningless.
My current goal is to get the background into some kind of shape that can be shown to the public, then put in the existing fish (using their existing algorithms). After releasing that to the loyal fans, I'll start recreating the fish, releasing each new one as it's done.

Haven't been here in awhile. Matter of fact it's been so long I had to have my password emailed to me. Anyway just thougt I would say I am extremely impressed with the progress reports on the aquarium. Not that you need my approval but you seem to be moving along at a pretty good pace when you consider all the past threads in general on this thing. Like the idea of releasing the screen when finished and redo fish later. Help keep the antsy ones happy. As for me, I have the patience of an angel. I know you will serve no wine before it's time! So I would never even think of trying to push your spectacular progress. Take all the time you need. I'll just relax and wait.
P.S. Did I tell you my 50th birthday is October 22? |

I'm happy to announce that finally, after months of trying, I have a Shader working in the Aquarium program. At the moment it's producing a primitive version of the lightplay on the gravel floor (no other objects, yet). This turned out to be incredibly hard for me because I not only had to grasp a rudimentary understanding of Shaders, but mix them in with normally rendered objects. Through literally thousands of experiments, there was simply no effect at all on the screen. Today I finally tracked the problem down to a seemingly unrelated issue, and BANG - there was lightplay on the gravel. I almost missed it, I was so used to the routine of Try Code>Compile>Run>Fail>Repeat that my finger was already on the ESC key.
This is a major milestone which has been holding up progress for a very long time.
