He has the shape of a greyhound, are they bred from greyhounds or vice versa?

They're related. They're both sighthounds.

I thought that they had to be. Beautiful animal, more handsome than the greyhound, it must be the coat that does it. How are their personalities?
Are they gentle, a dog you would trust around children? |

Awesome dog, dr. How very handsome. I bet you get a lot of compliments on him. One of my favorites, too.
How much does he weigh? He is probably all leg and coat! * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * |

He's very gentle, timid even... The timid part is changing fast though, Diva is very hyper-active and Apollo is already starting to play along (they're already great friends)... He's also starting to feel more comfortable in the house, he's spent most of his life outside in a kennel. From what I can tell so far, he's going to be an excellent dog.
Not a lot of compliments yet, well, except for you guys, but we're not going to take him anywhere for at least a couple weeks until he gets more used to us so he won't get a lot of exposure... He'll weigh about 100lbs or so when he's done growing, he must be close to than now. I guess he's a little bigger than average since the breeder said he's only an inch shorter than the biggest Borzoi she's ever had (his uncle, Redmen) and he's not quite his full size yet. His coat will also fill out quite a bit yet as well, she said probably twice as thick as it is now...

Sounds like that's one terrific dog you've got there doc!
Morgan, thanks for that net address. Hopefully that'll help. Sadly I got "This page cannot be found." last night, just as I getting into my stride. I tried the url again and got: "Gateway Timeout." When entering "feldoncentral.com" I got the answer "www.feldoncentral.com" cannot be found. I've heard that some of the service providers in the US have started tinkering with their systems, a side effect of which is that ISPs in the UK have started getting the errors above. I think it might be related to firewalls, but as it's an intermittent problem I'm not certain exactly what's happening. I hasten to support what Cliff said - I don't, and never have, taken this as indictment of either you or the forum site. Any language I utter is aimed purely at those controlling the bandwidth and servers. Grrr...

.I had a reply all type up last night concerning the same thing and when I hit submit, I received page not found error also. I have been having this happening for weeks now, I am even getting no e-mails notification, or I am notified of the same post repeatedly. I was unable to get back onto the site at all last night. So maybe Mark has found a solution, not that it has solve anything but we know a reason for it.

Two problems I've noticed--not getting email messages about posts, and when trying to login at work I just get taken back to the login page over and over again. Could have something to do with our agency firewall.
