Well, considering Jim's current trend of screensavers, I could see him doing something more like Eight Legged Freaks. Just kiddin'

I know I'm late to the translation marketing issue, but this one I can't let go. I get very strange replies to "prune juice" in spanish.
Anyone here game for some "dried-up plum juice". |

When it's done. I'm currently sitting here staring at rocks, trying to figure out which would look best in the Aquarium. Worst case of artist's block I've ever had.

Rocks
Just my humble opinion - but I'd go with natural gravel. I'd hate to see that nasty green or red gravel....yuck.

The darker the gravel the more believeable brightly colored fish will be. I know Jim won't give us any of that glow-in-the-dark neon yellow stuff.
Jim, I really like the look of "lace rock" in tanks, have you considered that at all? It can even be an interesting focal point of the entire tank if you find a large elaborate piece. Like this one:

Sunking - The gravel is already in, and it's natural style.
drfish - I used that kind in the Saltwater Aquarium. The Freshwater tank uses a layered sandstone look.

oOHh... Layered sandstone, thanks for the image Jim.
And yeah, I guess that is lace rock under all that coral isn't it? *sheepish grin* I'm just remembering how it looked in my Tanganyika tanks, obviously no coral, but it still looked sharp.

Layered sandstone is nice, but I was really really hoping that it would be a freshwater planted tank.
BTW, if you haven't seen Takashi Amano's "Nature Aquarium World" trilogy of books, you owe it to yourself to at least get the first one. This guy makes amazing freshwater planted aquariums. Incredible aquascaping. Beautiful. Can't find any really good links on it, but here's something: http://www.vectrapoint.com/main/phot...aquascape.html |

I have 2 of Amano's books. The frshwater tank will have more plants than rocks, but I have to do the rocks first because they don't move.

Oh, I see. That makes sense.
Moving freshwater plants..... *drool* On another note -- I just got a new 21" Sony monitor. Cost me a lot, but wow, it's worth it. And the marine aquarium looks amazing on it. I'm anxious for the freshwater one. |

Jim,That sounds like a good layout. Do you plan on adding any wood by chance?
