Hm, keeping goldfish seems to be associated with violence and murder...
/Tiny Felony Thanks to Morgan, Tiny Snapshots is up and running again with "Tiny Järvafält" as the latest addition – Go have a look and tell me what you think.

I think there is a Latin phrase to that effect; something like "Carp must Die."

It's about 2,5 centimeters but I am sure someone ( Morgan, Cliff or Tiny ) will come up with a more accurate answer

Approximately 2 centimeters to the inch, if I remember rightly. My calculation goes something like this: A meter is a bit more than 3 feet. There are 100 centimeters in a meter, so a foot would be a bit less than 1/3 of a meter, so a bit less than 33.3 centimenters. 12 (the number of inches in a foot) into 33.3 equals about 2.75. Does that make any sense?
I think Raven is correct, and it is closer to 2.5. |

I always multiply by 2.54.

Might I add that:
• 1 link – 7.92 inches (20.1168 cm) • 1 Celtic common cubit – 18 inches (45.72 cm) • 1 Celtic Royal cubit – 21 inches (53.34 cm) • 1 fathom – 5.5 feet (1.65 m) • 1 reed – 10.5 feet (3.15 m) • 1 rod, pole or perch – 5.5 yards (5.03 m) • 1 chain – 4 rods (20.1 m) • 1 furlong (or furrowlong) – 10 chains (201.125 m) • 1 mile – 8 furlongs (1609 m) • 1 league – 3 miles (4828 m) /Tiny Need for British Measurements ... then there's Megalithic Yards, PHI inches and PHI Feet and all of those exist in a rounded variation, and the sexagesimal rod, the 11 series rod and... Final round of goldfish coming soon.
We are stopping at 12 for version 1.0. The next two goldfish are subtle, but really are great for filling out the tank.

[thinks!] ..... Why is Reichart going on about fish? - must be the reference to Rod Pole and Perch! - anyone would think this thread was about Goldfish! ..... [/thinks]
Also! ...... a rod or pole, a measure of 5½ yards (5.03 metres) or (square perch) 30¼ square yards (25.3 sq metres); a measure of stonework, 24¾ or 25 cubic feet (0.7 cu metres). ............ Just thought you'd like to know! |

Reichart,
Glad to hear the Beta is almost version 1 ready. Any more news on 3 Freidas equalling one choice, and fixing the bug of the morphing fish? I'm also wondering about the background color. I have no doubt it will measure up in the end. |

Reichart.
Will the see through fish and what looks like a bit of plastic( or is it an x-ray plate) on the gravel bottom left disappear? Two more fish and hopefully the ability to show more fish at one time will be very welcome. Thank you. Norman Kelly |

I've been healed!
One of those odd days when I visit the forum and can see avatars! So of course I came to this thread immediately to see all yours. Looking good, folks! I'm surprised to see so many of you posting photos of yourself. It's good to know so many of you look to yourselves for divine guidance. I figure we're the deity, church and congregation all rolled into one. It makes it nice on the weekend because you can sleep in and still be at church!
Edit after post: As soon as I logged in, I could no longer see the avatars. Morgan, can you shed some light on this? |
