Well, it will be pretty tough for Prolific to compete with Jim's treasure chest. I think Jim might rename the Freshwater to "SereneScreen Treasure Chest Aquarium" because of the time he has spent on it. And from what I hear, this is not folly and worth the time spent!
Considering there may be a mermaid saver from Prolific, I think the rules are a bit more relaxed on OPTIONAL "toy" items.

Cheesey
The first tank will be free of all objects.
Sachs is doing a Treasure chest in the Tropical Freshwater, so we WON'T do that. We try not to do the same things if possible, or logical. At some point (TBD) we will add a Water Wheel, and perhaps some other toys. But the over all answer is YES. We want to allow for silly items that people enjoy putting in their tanks. Unlike the Marine Aquarium.

RedCaps
What are RedCaps (are you talking markings).
Even though this is what we do for a living, everyone has different terminology for EVERYTHING. Please provide pictures of things you like.

The adults end up looking that way. The juveniles have kind of a red patch that grows into that later from what I can see.

Reichart,
I told you in the chat the other day that there is a photo of me buried back in the forum. I even copied a link and pasted it in the chat for you, don't know if you were still there or had wandered off then or not. I hope you don't reaaaaaally want me to have to do away with my Zebra Moray avatar ( there is a search hint in there by the way. ) That was one of my favorite creatures in my home tank years ago. The photo on the Wishlist page is the one that I had, I sent a copy to Morgan long ago to use for that.

GoldFish Beta
We lost some time to some 2.0 problems, both from the roll out, and from the new boxed product, and we are working on the International verison (FIGS: French, Italian, German, Spanish).
So we are looking at first week of April. But we might have it prior. It has a lot of NEW code though. We are testing away. The fish collisions are MUCH MUCH more complex. Imagine trying to write a formula to fly an animated bull with a porcupine for a mother through a china shop run by Tiffany’s. Break one plate and the illusion is broken.

I like your allegory, Baron.
/Tiny Peasant Thanks to Morgan, Tiny Snapshots is up and running again with "Tiny Järvafält" as the latest addition – Go have a look and tell me what you think.
