Looks terrific. Over the years, many people have dedicated a computer and monitor to the Aquarium. I was told that actor Ray Liotta did it about 8 years ago.

Thanks Jim (and Patrick). I am still in awe with the shellfish and the tube anemones (?) and how the fish swim between the coral branches. I've had a couple of salt water tanks, but I so much prefer this aquarium. It's all so beautifully idealistic. No salt water tank has all that this display has. I only wish I had the room for two 32" side by side monitors. Jim, this has been a fantastic accomplishment on your part. It is so relaxing and realistic and since I don't have to worry about algae build up and feeding and caring for the fish, I can enjoy it that much more. My wife wouldn't live without it. Thanks again, Jim for all your hard work and dedication.

I just bought a Fujifilm F770EXR that shoots 3D pictures and a Glasses-Free 3D monitor is available. If I buy it, I will post more about it.

I'll be interested to find out if the lenticular sheet is always in place on the viewer, or is clipped on when viewing 3D images.

I wonder if SereneScreen 3.2 could be run on this in 3D without too much hassel? If it could easily be done, there might be that whole new market you were wondering about, Jim.

Yeah - for all six people who buy the thing

Since it uses a "hi-def" hdmi cable (which I assume means bi-directional), there may be a possibility. That's how I connect my Samsung Syncmaster to my nVidia 3D card, so maybe I could just swap the monitors and the card would think it's still driving the Samsung. Naaah, it has to be looking for some kind of over-under or side-by-side imagery, not alternating left eye/right eye pics.

Jim, the monitor is pretty expensive. I always thought you could sell a million subscriptions of SereneScreen if it could be displayed properly in pet shops, Walmart, J.C.Pennys, Sears, etc.
As I said before, I use a laptop to run my MA 3.2 on a 32" LED TV, 24/7/365. I wonder what the smallest and least expensive computer that could be used as a dedicated component to do what I'm doing with my laptop. I would have bought something like that if I could have bought it on-line. Of course, what works on a flat screen LED-TV might not work on a CRT.
Regarding 3D side-by side/over-under/left-eye-right eye, I wish that there could be a standard format.

I've always wanted to try a point-of-sale display at sales counters of pet shops, museums, etc. We had the CD version for sale in the Maui Aquarium for quite a while, but people really need to see it running to appreciate it.

Nowadays it could be done fairly cheaply. An old broken Android phone could run the program on a factory-second LCD monitor. The whole setup could be paid for by the first few sales. The problem is creating a sales force who would go in and convince store owners to display it.

This is so "Great Barrier Reef" that I would like to convince "Outback Steak House" to display it on one of their TV screens and maybe eventually expand to all their restaurants. Maybe with a custom Chrystal saying "Outback Great Barrier Reef" or just "Great Barrier Reef".

It wouldn't really do me any good, as the customers wouldn't have any idea what they were looking at. That's always been the problem with all the high-profile exposure in movies and TV shows which have used MA over the past decade. People just don't make the connection that this is a program they can actually buy, or where to get it.

What system is connected to your LED Screen that is running MA3?

EDIT: I see in a previous post that you are using a Laptop. If you are interested in a low-power device that won't be too hot, see my suggestion below:

Since there is an android version of MA3, you could use a CuBox-i device to run Android and hook it up via HDMI to a display. Running MA3 on a CuBox-i4pro would be around 7.5W.

I like the idea of a dedicated monitor!
