Although that wasn't my reason for posting it, it was just more of a "what the heck did this little guy do to tick off nature"

sort of post.

Think of a tank with coelocanth, shark, Nautilus, pine cone fish, a jellyfish like that Big Red and one or two of those thin spindly starfish that look a bit like craneflies! And some rocks, to pad it out a bit!

Regarding the Pine Cone fish - too many thin black lines. The texture wouldn't work on the screen.

Ive got a question regarding the 3d background I was wondering is it gonna replace those coral in the tank or is it just gonna be a new background that looks 3d. Also are fish going to be able to in any way interact with the background like if it is a fish that hops along the coral is it going to be able to do that.

The 3D background is a re-creation of the current coral, so yes, it will replace it.

I haven't seen any fish that hop along the coral, can you think of any species that does?

That's true. Hawkfishes do stop and perch on a rock looking for the next meal to leap at.

Hmmm, unless I'm mistaken I see a number of fish on the wishlist that have small thin lines and a few already in the MA that have them as well. Oh well, no biggie, as I said it was just a "look at this weird fish" sort of post. Thanks Jav for your support though.

I think those fish on the wishlist which have high-frequency patterns should have been marked with a red X. None of my fish in the MA have them. It's the first thing I look for in a suggested fish.

They were marked with a red X for a while.

The red X's were determined by how the fish would look on 640x480 and 800x600 displays. This is getting to be less and less of a concern.
