Great, Here I run the GA with Oreo only as I thought he was the most natural looking and then it turns out he was the least realistic...

Please don't take 'im away

Thanks to Morgan, Tiny Snapshots is up and running again with "Tiny Järvafält" as the latest addition – Go have a look and tell me what you think.

I remembered the line from the Hindu scripture, the Bhagavad-Gita. Vishnu is trying to persuade the Prince that he should do his duty and to impress him takes on his multi-armed form and says,
'Now, I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds.'
I suppose we all thought that, one way or another.

Oreo may be a mutant, but he's my little mutant, and I love him just the way he is

are they going to add more goldfish to the finished product? and aree they going to make their tail movements more realistic, they seem to be suffering from an ick infestation and are trying to shake it off 24 hours a day.

I turned on 6X AA and put all the plants on and I think Goldfish Aquarium looks really nice. I know people are annoyed about the moment of the fish but I think it is not too bad, its enjoyable to watch and that is the main thing

I would like to see the textures improved though as I think they are letting things down (and what about bump mapping...... go on PLEASE!!)

We are getting really positive response on the newest Goldfish. We are adding one about every week.

"Cali" is our newest. Another is going up today, and next week we will be introducing the first non-fancy tail. We might go for a Moor next.

Also, we have rebuilt the mouth for the next one. Each time something improves, over the following weeks/months, the feature proliferates everywhere else. From a more detailed mouth, to a new feature in the user interface.

Every day, things get better and better…

Smile New version

I just looked in the http://www.prolific.com/test/ directory and there is a new beta version dated 5-14-03 sitting there (build N514.0.9.1576). It's got a new cool-looking goldfish called "Monstro". One other thing I noticed is that the pebbles and rocks seem more detailed. Check it out!

I downloaded it too but didn't want to spill the beans, since it could be just a test version. Monstro looks nice but you might want to wait a while, because something is terribly wrong with this one...

At almost 25 m long Liopleurodon was the biggest carnivore that ever existed. It had an enormous 3 metre long mouth which contained teeth twice as long as those of Tyrannosaurus.

Strange....I'm not seeing that graphics glitch on the system I'm looking at right now with an ATI Radeon 7200 card. I'm going to check later and see if it's got a problem with my system at home that has an nVidia Geforce 3 card.

This fish is beautiful, almost a veil-tail and the background no longer has green. I did not encounter any display problems. The framerate is back up, 35 to 40 for me even with all the fish and plants turned on. As I said before, this is only iceing on the cake. Can you see me smile.

Reichart had told me to download that version yesterday to check a fix he had for my wireframe freezing problem. My impression from him was that it wasn't finished yet but he wanted me to try it to see if I was still freezing. Monstro looks really nice. They haven't finished fine tuning the background yet though.

I kept this version separate from the previous one just in case there was a problem. I think I'll contiune to do so, just for the sake of comparsion.

Same here, it's very nice to start up the different versions and see what has changed.

I'm very happy about the first plant on the right, it looks a lot better now

Oooh - very nice! The front right plant is 100! better.

I think Monstro's dorsal fin needs to be a bit more bendy, though. The shape of the fin would seem to lend itself to a bit of swaying as the fish moves. Otherwise I like him a lot.

The mouths are better, too. Not quite perfect, but better.
