Wiz - The orange fan coral on the left and purple Gorgonia on the right will be the first to start waving, because that's very simple to do. Then the clams opening/closing. Then the feather-duster worms (their tubes are not in yet - I'm going to Chicago at the end of the week to take some pics at the Shedd Aqaurium).

What's really hard to find is a good picture of the tube, with the feather-duster part retracted.

Thumbs Down MIDI of The Aquarium

Here is a website with the midi version of "The Aquarium", as well as many others... however there is a "2 midi per day" limit.

I love the Shedd Aquarium, I've been there a couple times. I'll never forget the seahorse special exhibit there once.

I like the idea of letting the screensaver play a selection of your music that you choose off your hard drive, that's pretty awesome.

That piece doesn't seem to work very well in MIDI form. I've got a couple that I'm considering, both piano pieces. I hate piano, but it seems to work out best for MIDI.

Haha, just start scuba diving!
A lot of times when taking photos of those feather-duster you can get close, set the focus, be ready with the trigger, and... SWHOOOSH... THERE'S JUST A FREAKIN' TUBE!

Hello everyone. I've haven't been logged in for sometime but I am constantly keeping up with and nervously awaiting MA3. I wanted to commend Jim for his hard work, especially this last thread about getting a machine together for old 440 cards. I think this is wonderful. I just thought I would interject something and I mean no disrespect to anyone.
Yesterday the 9800gx2 came out and just before that the 9600gt. Which means that even nvidia 6 and 7 series cards are starting to sell for almost nothing. If people have an ancient graphics card with some problems you can pick one of these up for as little as 40 to 50 dollars or less depending on where you shop online. Newegg, tigerdirect, xoxide.com and directron.com are always having price wars. And that's just to name a few. But I do understand in these times that 50 dollars can be a great deal to some, myself included and may not be able to upgrade. So again, I want to commend Jim for bending over backwards for everyone. Says a lot about his character. Meanwhile I'll be watching in the wings.
The problem would come in for someone that has an embedded card and no expansion slot. Those kinds of machines were pretty common at one time.

Hi Jim, I have a 700L Marine reef tank, stocked with SPS Corals and various feather dusters, (and various other stuff). One of the big feathers was actually up against the glass a few weeks ago, and you could see the tube as it retracted all the way in. Would it be any help if I take some photos? My camera is 12.1 Mega Pixels so hopefully that's enough. What exactly do you need? Si.

Where do you live? Maybe Jim can swing by and take the photos himself.

I have to take the shots myself. Hoping to get some good ones at the Shedd Aquarium in a couple of days.

Thanks to Morgan, Tiny Snapshots is up and running again with "Tiny Järvafält" as the latest addition – Go have a look and tell me what you think.

"We knew the world would not be the same. A few people laughed, a few people cried, most people were silent.
I remembered the line from the Hindu scripture, the Bhagavad-Gita. Vishnu is trying to persuade the Prince that he should do his duty and to impress him takes on his multi-armed form and says,
'Now, I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds.'
I suppose we all thought that, one way or another.

Wow that music is hideous. Think Renoir. Not Pee-Wee Herman.
