I see the same thing here on my third screen (the same one that had trouble with the purple gorgonia). Here's a side-by-side of screenshots to illustrate... http://webpages.charter.net/rlsimon/clams.jpg Multi-monitor hell time again? |

Confirmation
Jim,
I'm sorry to confirm the same thing. I bring a laptop to work and back. On Easter night I loaded up the new program on my laptop and reported the clams as perfect. At work I have a second monitor I hook up to. On that monitor the clam's movement is stifled. Only the purple clam moves a little - a very small amount. The other two are closed. I also tried setting the "Render the same image on all monitors" checkbox. I get perfect clams on my main screen and the same problem on screen two. If there is any more information that would help please let me know.
Sincerely,

Today I'll be working on getting the clams moving on multiple monitors.

We got CLAMS!!! Thanks Jim!
I wouldn't mind a little more movement from the blue one - but maybe that is how they really move? They are extremely real looking. |

The blue one moves about the same as the others if a fish gets near it.

Clams on Multi-Monitors
Jim,
I've got two monitors running and the clams look perfect now! All three are moving perfectly on both monitors or stretched across both (clams on monitor two only). And the vertical sync seems to be working very well for me too. I know you hear it a lot but, thanks! This is so nice!
Sincerely,

Glad to hear it. I'm still not sure what happens with vsync if the two monitors have different refresh rates.

Beta 10A looks fantastic and is great to see over both screens with the clams in full working order on the 2nd screen. Heres to new fish models and behaviours shortly! -

Clams look great. Wonder how they taste?
While the blue clam gets alot of action from the fishes the other two get 'visited' by the fish alot less often therefore very little action from them. I got about 30 fish going. It's hard to tell how close the fish come to the back two clams but they don't react like the blue clam. |

If a fish were to decide to swim directly over all three clams, they would react identically. Most fish move straight across the tank up against the front glass, which takes them near enough to the front clam to trigger it. As more animated items are added to the tank, you will begin to appreciate the fact that there are actions which happen frequently, and others which happen rarely, (and some which almost never happen).
The goal is to keep people interested, no matter how long they've had the Aquarium, "Hey...I never saw THAT before!"

The chest will be in the fresh water tank. As for the dual monitors, I have the same thing. Other then that, they look great Jim.
Thank You. |

Again, the clams don't have more of a workout because I don't want them to. There will be many things in the tank that will happen only rarely, but when they are all there something rare will be happening most of the time.
