Prolific is setting the price. I believe it's the same as the previous version - $19.95, with a $9.95 upgrade from v2.6.

Things may change when I get this thing done and on the market. Maybe I can actually go outside and enjoy the remainder of whatever season this is. |

As to whether it's necessary, here's the reaction of Prolific's in-house Beta Tester upon trying out MA3 for the first time yesterday: " WOW! Who came up with the idea of a music play list? This feature kicks butt! I have it running on XP MCE (Flawlessly) with a Linkin Park mp3 playing in the background, bubble sound on. The music auto rewinds when over. That was a GREAT idea! This could be a HUGE selling point! I'd buy this right now just on this alone. The graphics are amazing but I can use MY songs or audio files? WOW " |

How are the fish picker and multimonitor parts going? and have you found a decent set of midi instruments to be distributed with it yet? - Can we ahve a sneak preview of what the default sound track will be? - Just to keep us going!

The sound of bubbles and an air pump is usually the default sound track

The FishPicker interface and multimonitor stuff is in the hands of the Alpha testers. They are finding lots of bugs, so I'm currently tracking those down. The multimonitor stuff is especially frustrating because there are millions of combinations of computers/video cards/drivers/monitors out there, and they all seem to behave differently.
Spent a few hours on the MIDI stuff last night. Found some interesting possibilities. The default sound track is Pachelbel's Canon.

Nah, I like JMJ's - Jonques de Pecheurs au Crepuscule.
It's what I play instead.

What is all this talk of 'bugs' are you adding fish food to MA3 now?
I hope someone is keeping screen shots of the bugs for the bloopers section of the MA3 disc, it will be fun to see first hand all the things we've been reading about in the forums.

Jim, if the fish will be able to have the behavior of swimming in schools, have you thought of adding a random size feature. It would be nice so there is not a bunch of clones swimming together.

The new behavior and sizing will not be in the first release, but will follow shortly. Not only will fish of the same species be different sizes, but slightly different markings.
