Screen Saver problem on PowerBook
I can't seem to get more than 1 fps in the screen saver, but I get 46-48 fps in the application in full screen mode.
Anyone else see this behaviour? Maybe on iBooks too? I'm using a 500MHz PowerBook G4. |

Wesley,
First generation TiBooks have 8 meg video cards. You need to turn on the "economize video memory" setting in the screen saver configuration window in order to have enough video memory to run the screen saver with the hardware acceleration. The application has more freedom to mess with your computer's environment in order to get the hardware renderer. The screen saver doesn't, so you have to give it explicit permission to take stronger measures. Please let us know if there is more I can do to help. Jim O'Connor

That helps, but still around 8 fps.

Try running in thousands of colors mode instead of millions.
