...and when the freshwater aquarium is available we could run them both this way at the same time in the background...

hmmm...i wish that jim ss (in future) fishes will have the grown-up (turn from juvenile to adult) feature....
once you install the ss , fishes will grow from time to time and vice-versa...
of course , guess i have to wait until creatures pack and 3d background is done...
jim , could you consider this idea?

I don't think so. The juvenile versions of these fish are always prettier, and the adult ones are very large. An adult Queen Angel would fill the screen at this scale.

Jim,
Wouldn't it be good to insert a little text file called "Additional information" reachabel via a button in the settings screen? It could mention stuff likt the fact that all the fish in the tank are juveniles (as adults would be to large), that the lionfish can be spotted as a young specimen due to it's lack of horns and so on. I'm sure someone at Prolific could write a piece like that together (and if not, I know a few fellows on the forum that would ) and insert a button into the Settings.

To be fair to Jim, he has already agreed to something along those lines Tiny, - but I do agree with you that some form of text file (readme?), is long overdue.

Here's a feature I would like. You know how the Goldfish changes tank configuration every so many 'x' minutes...well...it would be neat if the Aquarium just changed fish every so many 'x' minutes when you have it set either to random, or say maybe three or so different set choices...something like that. We run the Aquarium on a plasma in our reception area all day long, alternating days with the goldfish aquarium, and we think it would be nice if the fish changed automatically every so often instead of having to do it manually.

Why are we doing this here instead of the wishlist?

It doesn't show up... Even if I'm using IE on a computer I've never visited with before (at work anyway)... Do you have to be logged out for a certain amount of time first or something?

The Mac version of GOLDFISH will be getting this feature.

Ok, I was thinking of Goldfish.

So you do not want an option for the tank to fade to black and then fade back up with different fish?

Nope. Real aquariums almost never do this, and reloading objects on the fly is asking for memory frag problems.

Thanks for the answer...it's not a problem...just thought it might be a nice feature, a la the goldfish. There are so many great fish, we'll just set up three different sets of 8 fish to run the three different days of the week that we run the aquarium, and enjoy the changing goldfish on the days we run it's tank...

jim,
could we have an option to change the fish color textures?
of cours the color option is determine by you.
eg: a percula clown fish (normally seen in orange and white stripe)

so the option is to change the normal color to something like black and white stripe or purple and white stripe percula...
just an idea...

The Aquarium is all about realism. We might see a Maroon Clown or some other species, but it would be realistic.

yeah i know that...realism
what i have suggested is changing of fish color textures base on realism.
eg:queen angelfish created by jim has 2 different textures..
