The point of having this forum, is for people to OFFER legitimate ideas for Jim's consideration, ( not guaranteed inclusion ) in his work, and for US, ( meaning Jim, and the Administrators, and the forum members ) to be able to give help and advice to new forum members, or to help members with technical problems that they may be experiencing. This forum was never intended to be a free-for-all for anyone who wanted to join, and express anything that they felt like no matter what, just because they couldn't find any better place to do so.

There have been many ideas that Jim has considered and included in the aquarium, and by the same token there have been many that he has rejected for one reason or the other. I just don't see the point in arguing over the fact once Jim has made his deceision.

We do try and maintain a high standard here, it's one of the reasons that Morgan posted some rules about membership. ie. no flaming, trolling for arguments, language, etc. etc. I hope everyone is satisfied with the way that this forum is run, but if anyone has any questions or complaints, Morgan or I are always willing to hear options and discuss with anyone alternative opinions. Thats's what the PM function is there for. Please feel free to contact us at any time.

The freedom to express an opinion carries the responsibility for the damage that might be caused. In this case, the income of 50 people could be greatly affected by someone publishing a negative comment in a worldwide forum regarding a product that they have not actually seen, and is not intended for the public.

On the Internet, I've found that many people often take everything way too seriously, and don't notice the smile behind the text.

You can increase your likeability if you explain something to someone rather than just saying "No, that's not something I'll be wasting my precious few moments on earth with" response.

If you ask me - I think that "No, that's not something I'll be wasting my precious few moments on earth with" is pretty darn clear. What more explanation do you need?

Did you know that this is the very reason "smilies" are used on the internet? Because, sometimes, it is very hard to find the expression behind the written word. Especially if it is meant to be subtle or someone has a dry wit.

A little off the present subject. I do like the 3D Mail Effect program by Fluid Studios, Tim. I've heard of them before.

Hey this coral at the right looks cool, is there a chance to see it in any next version?
This crytal idea is good, but I've never seen a christal in a tank my whole life, is that common?

He's not doing any more work on the flat coral in the tank right now. The next project is the Freshwater Aquarium (got any preview pics, Jim?) and then the 3D coral reef. No looking back.

Here's my belated opinion on this whole topic.

It's pretty surprising to see someone complaining about a version of the Aquarium that they will never see and never be forced to use (or even be available to them).

It's sort of like me complaining about the circuitry that Boeing puts on their military aircraft. It affects me HOW?

P.S. For people who are curious about putting a crystal in the Aquarium, you should see all the requests we've had over the last year for fish excrement, mermaids, statues, bubble-driven divers, treasure chests and sunken ships.

Anime Emotion on the Internet
People can usually tell I am just kidding about something if I use something like these. I always liked the text emotions better than the graphical ones.

But regardless of what you use... they make an effect. See the difference:

Lightfeather says: You Butthead. I was saving that for later. Now I have to go get another one.
or

There are a ton more out there, but these are what I use ^_^

But with graphical emoticons, you don't have to stop and think as much....

Thanks to Morgan, Tiny Snapshots is up and running again with "Tiny Järvafält" as the latest addition – Go have a look and tell me what you think.

"We knew the world would not be the same. A few people laughed, a few people cried, most people were silent.
I remembered the line from the Hindu scripture, the Bhagavad-Gita. Vishnu is trying to persuade the Prince that he should do his duty and to impress him takes on his multi-armed form and says,
'Now, I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds.'
I suppose we all thought that, one way or another.

Jim, I think the crystal looks kinda dull and cloudy. More like plastic. Maybe it only looks that way in the still shot. Good idea though.
