I doubt the Rage card (7 year old technology) will run the Freshwater.

Considering Radeon 9000's came out less than 2 years ago and cost $200, I think you're safe.

Richard32,
Am I completely wrong regognising that avatar as used on ol' xperience.org? Liked it then – Like it still.

Thanks to Morgan, Tiny Snapshots is up and running again with "Tiny Järvafält" as the latest addition – Go have a look and tell me what you think.

I hope your PC is doing better Jim.
A good lightweight Free Anitvirus prog is AVG
at grisoft.com
Also, good idea to use a firewall like Zonealarm which also has a free version.
Hope all is well now,

I was finally able to get online with my main machine for the first time in 3 weeks, since my Total Hardware/Software Meltdown. I got some of my programs re-installed, but don't know where I got half the things I was using - must have been downloaded from somewhere. I'm very close to looking for a less frustrating line of work.

Oh, great. Here comes another Windows message - "System shutdown is initiated by NT Authority System".

Bye.....

So how is the machine coming, that is if you have been able to get back home yet, due to the fires.

Jim,

The "System shutdown is initiated by NT Authority System" could be a sign of the Blaster worm. Do you keep Windows updated with the latest security patches?
?

He is not on broadband. I'm sure many of us would be happy to burn a CD of all the necessary updates and send it.

Thumbs Down

Just discovered these forums even though I bought Marine Aquarium over a year ago. Sorry to hear that you have problems with your computer, Jim... just keep up the good work I'm really looking forward to this new freshwater version.

Btw... I've been a fan of your work since the Amiga days... are you in any way involved in the new release of Defender of the crown or have u left the game industry?

Welcome to the forum, Icarus! I just wonder why there is no response here, or at least a bunch of welcome posts?
As far as I know, Jim has given the 'Defender of the crown' rights to another company which has released the gameboy advance version.
We all hope, that Jim can continue with the freshwater aquarium soon.
