Widescreen version ?'s

Will the widescreen version get regular updates to include the new fish and stuff like the starfish or is it a one time deal?

When we get the 3D background version of the Aquarium, the Widescreen version will be folded into the regular version.

Basically, the 3D background version will have a background twice as wide as a regular screen, and 50% wider than a widescreen screen. The camera will pan back and forth slowly to reveal the whole tank.

Morgan is right - the 3D background version will eliminate the need for a separate widescreen version. The tank will be just over two screens wide, and you will see however much of it your monitor can display. Because of the increased size of the tank, more fish can be displayed, maybe 9 or 10 (plus invertebrates).

We will continue to offer the current version for people who have weaker video cards. Let's face it, more background elements, fish, invertebrates, moving coral, etc., are all going to require a fairly good video card. It's not likely that the low-end 4-meg ATI cards could keep up. Anything with 16 or more megs (nearly all cards made in the last 2 years) should be fine.

So will the camera view definitely pan the tank or will it remain still showing the view allowed by the monitor in use?
