Images Blur on new Win 11 PC
Just installed on a new Win 11 PC and when it runs, the images all blur with trails. What do I need to do to get it to look like it used to on the old Win 10?

I'm unable to duplicate this problem. I just bought a new Win11 Chinese tablet computer, and the Aquarium works fine. Also no problem on my desktop computer, which has been updated with Win11.

At this point we need to recommend a screen saver launcher program like Carousel or something that launches the Aquarium. As long as the Aquarium is initated by some *other piece of software* it works fine. There's just something in the Aquarium initial graphic initialization code that trips up some cards and some drivers on alternating Tuesdays when the moon is waxing crescent and Mercury is in retrograde.

Same problem here using Windows 11 Pro on a Dell XPS 15 with an external Dell monitor. I do use a screensaver launcher (Screensaver Commander) and it does not help.

Which version of the graphics adapter drivers are you using?

Unfortunately I have had to discontinue using MA and switch to another aquarium simulator (Dream Aquarium - fresh water instead) that does not have this problem on my Dell XPS 15 running W 11 Pro. Hopefully this problem will get fixed in a future release as I much prefer MA. Obviously if this other app works perfectly the problem can be fixed.

I am very used to SereneScreen Aquarium and would not like to change it for anything...
It would be nice for users to share their experiences and send feedback on the use of driver versions for different graphics adapters to this thread. Then it would be clear which version of drivers are suitable for normal MA operation on newer graphics adapters... Just specify the driver version and write whether the MA is working or not... |

Take a look at this original Thread from 2020 - 2024, discussing this same issue...
https://feldoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26048 There is a temporary resolution for getting it to work normally. |

Take a look at this original Thread discussing it: https://feldoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26048 Jim Sach's confirms in that Thread that the issue is a problem with the FrameBuffer within the Driver, not refreshing correctly... and unfortunately thats a problem we have to take up with Intel and AMD to fix on their end. |
