Just noticed my fps is locked at 60 no matter what the option is checked.
With or without the lock frame rate on I am stuck at 60.
Turning of Vsync shoots it from 60 up to almost 130. If I do lock the fps it drops down and starts jumping around. This is weird because I always got 100 in MA2 before. Don't know when it started, but just noticed it now. 60 is hard on my eyes. Any ideas?

MA2 and MAT now come with the ability to disable vsynch. Since there is no "obvious" place for the average computer user to find and change this setting, the Aquarium is now doing it manually.
If you have a CRT monitor, set the refresh rate that DirectX applications use (defaults to 60 and ignores the Windows refresh rate) to something higher like 75 by using the DXDIAG tool.

Any idea why would this start out of the blue? All these apps have been running at the monitor refresh rate since January when I upgraded the card and OS..
As far as Vsync, see my frst post... about turning it off ramps it up to 130.

Just checked Goldfish... still running at 92.
Also just checked the DXDiag override and its set to 100 already... although I don't remember ever touching it.

If I up mine to 120, from the default, using DXDIAG, I get an extra 10 frames a second. Is there any harm in doing this ? I normally run MA @ 800x600 with a refresh of 100Hz. Using this setting I get 50 frames a sec. I'm not using the latest GFX card, unfortunately... Cheers

Whatever you set that number to, DirectX forces the monitor to run at that Refresh rate. 120Hz is a stretch for most monitors.
