Thumbs Up Display Aquarium on a TV screen

I would like to find out how to display Aquarium on a large TV as we are having a party with a tropical theme and desperately need some fishes for atmosphere.

Can you tell us more about your computer and your TV?

If it is a regular TV (not an HDTV), then you would use an S-Video or regular video cable from the computer to the TV, provided your computer as S-Video or Video outputs on the back.

Also be aware that long (12+ foot) S-Video cables can be quite expensive.

I was too cheap to buy video cables. Plus I have a VCR hooked up to my TV out ports so that I can output video to VHS tape.

So my answer to sending my video across the room to the TV was a 20' piece of coax from the VCR to the TV. This was a cable I already had so the whole thing cost me nothing.

As long as I set MA or GA to 640x480 or 800x600 it looks decent on the TV. There is some minor edge bending but that happens on both of my TV's even when I dragged them within cable range of the computer.

Thanks, Morgan and Socrates. It sounds so straightforward! And the manual of the laptop I plan to use says it has a video port. (so that's what that funny looking outlet is :-) )

I'll post next week to let you know how it worked.

The Sony pictured actually just came to me as a hand me down a few months ago. I had a GE there for years.

I was so happy with the Sony, that the old faithful GE went up stairs after sitting on the floor in the living room all that time. The DAY that I finally dragged the GE upstairs, the Sony developed a hideously loud electrical whine!!!! now I have to do all that schleping on the stairs again
