They have just the opposit effect to that, Sandy. They are to stop them from being distracted. Generally speaking, you will only find them used on carriage horses, and on a few race horses where it has been found that they run better, in a race, when they are blinkered.

You don't see the connection to marine aquariums and horses?

BTW, it would be neat to have one of those in the aquarium, can they live in a saltwater tank in real life?

Sure
Thanks to Morgan, Tiny Snapshots is up and running again with "Tiny Järvafält" as the latest addition – Go have a look and tell me what you think.

"We knew the world would not be the same. A few people laughed, a few people cried, most people were silent.
I remembered the line from the Hindu scripture, the Bhagavad-Gita. Vishnu is trying to persuade the Prince that he should do his duty and to impress him takes on his multi-armed form and says,
'Now, I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds.'
I suppose we all thought that, one way or another.

Angry

Thank you for the welcomes... I have visited often but never had anything important to say.

Seahorses are amazing creatures but even better are the "leafy sea dragons"... I happened to catch a traveling exhibition of sea horses and dragons at the Shedd Aquarium (visiting Chicago, live in DC) and fell in love with them.

Sea Dragons looks like a hybrid of some kind, like some seaweed genes floated over and got mixed in with some seahorse genes/eggs and puff!!, out came the sea dragons. Sorry to read they're being done in by pollution, etc..

Yep, just got into Oregon again. I was hoping this would be the last trip, but I still have another truckload in the old garage. So, it's back down to California again tomorrow.

Thanks for checking in. Good to know you made it okay. So... one last trip and it's goodbye California?

Got a whole 6 hours between trips last night. Back in California again now. Just checked into a Day's Inn room which reeks of smoke. Tomorrow I've got to bore a hole in the concrete floor of the old house to install a sum pump. Among other things.

Hey you all are still here ! I was an old beta tester to this long ago and well, been getting married having kids ect..

My old pc fried and when I got a new one I guess I forgot all about this. Well a few years pass, and somone at work mentioned a fish screen saver and I said, " Omg I use to have the beta long time ago".

Got home and found my old keycode, and am now installing this again. It's so good to hear things are getting better and better with this.

Keep up the good work Mr. Sachs
