IXNAY's reef
Hey I made a custom background for the aquarium, I know it will never be possible to put it into the aquarium, but I had nothing to do and when I saw this coralpics by James I had do to this
Here is the link to where you can see it: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation.php?id=345155 I downloaded a bunch of pics and then I started creating a reef, piece by piece, first I made two rockhils (it was really hard to find coralrock-pics), then I put in the big shell and then the corals. That was a lot of work. I like the result, it has the same style as the original background I think. What do you think of my reefbackground? |

The thumbnail looks very nice, but I get a forbidden message when trying to view the larger one or download the zip.

Very nice! If he does decide to use that avatar, then I sure hope that no one here on the forum has epilepsy (no, that's not a joke). That aside, I too happen to like the avatar though.

Hehe, this deviant avater used to change switch every 0,1 second first. I changed this because people were stressed by it
I don't use it here because I like this frog in my SSA avatar. But please back to the topic And Socrates you said you commented? What's your nickname on the site? I only have two comments, but I don't think you're one of them!? Last edited by IXNAY; 05-15-2002 at 06:42 AM. |

Beautifully done IXNAY! Wish we could just plug it in and use it in the Screen Saver. Maybe someday....

I agree with socrates: the background looks very nice.
the rocks look nice, the corals great, but my favourite is that clam: it's awesome love that clam, really. I have no idea about what clam, corals or anything in the picture (except rocks LOL) name is, but I know what I like, and I like that picture. Really really nice, ixnay. Great job

I can say, (even if I'm not Jim) that you have done some nice Photoshop work here, but the rocks are to white in my taste. A healthy aquarium should have more algae growing on the rock. (Purple, red and brown "limealgae" or whatever they can be called.) Maybe the rocks should be more sunk into the sand and not hover half an inch over it, also.
BTW, I don't agree with hpman77, the clam is too dominant, hehe.

I think I also once used used "excuse me I'm German" to justify colorful language to my mother.
It didn't work. |
