Swimming patterns

Just wondering, are the fishes able to swim between the left and right corals? In other words, start off in front of the left coral, then go behind the right coral as it swims across the tank.

It seems the fishes swim in 3 lanes, in front of the left and right coral, between the middle and front corals and behind all the corals.

In looking at the wireframe, there appears to be something between the right and left corals.

Yes, they swim in 2 layers right now. Hopefully this will change in the future.
