Cool CPU Usage and FPS

If I set the FPS to 30fps I get about 30fps, however if I set FPS to 60fps, I still get about 30fps.

With only Marine Aquarium in a window 720 x 540 and the ProcessViewer running behind the Aquarium I can see the amount of CPU Usage.

With both settings of 30fps and 60fps the CPU usage is about 65-76%.

When I set the FPS to Maximum then I get about 41-45fps and a CPU of 100%

I was just wondering why I don't get a higher fps at the setting of 60fps.

I have a BW G3 400mHz with ATI Radeon 7000 video card, MacOSX 10.1.5 and Marine Aquarium v1.1.0

When you set the fps to Max we ask the OS to give us the CPU at EVERY opportunity, hence the 100% CPU utilitization. With anything less than Max the OS X scheduler has more flexibility.
