That's a good one, Shinsa. ROTFL!

My favorite was (is?) Geoffrey Longsword. The picture of him when things were going badly was great!

For you people who don't know what Defender of the Crown looks like – and you who want to experience it again – here's how you can play it for free!

Cinemaware are creating a new updated version (Are you in on this, Jim?) and to ramp up interest, they have released DotC as an Shockwave online game. You have to register first, but there's no credit card involved, and then the actual Amiga version is playable in a window! Best online gaming I ever had

No, I'm not involved with the new Cinemaware. They took me to lunch about 3 years ago, and I gave them whatever rights I have to Defender of the Crown. I'm easy.

What can I get for dinner?
Bat rays? We don't need no stinking bat rays!

Glad you got a kick out of it Jim! ^_^

I recently found an Apple IIgs emulator, and couldn't resist playing DotC again. I still remembered everything well enough to finish the game in little less than an hour.

I chose Wolfric because he looks the most like me (LOL, ok the beard looks like mine)

And as for the aspect ratio, thats the way it is displayed on the IIgs. I always thought they looked a little fat LOL... But it was a port over from Amiga to Apple. (I think)

Yes, I did all the original graphics on the Amiga, and Cinemaware did all the ports after I left. (It remains the most ported game ever.) The Amiga had non-square (tall) pixels, so most of the ports look squashed. If you are able to set your screen to 320x200 or 640x400, then the pics look right.
