Whether it's compatible with older OS X will be up to Jim O'Connor, who is doing the Mac translation.

As for a 32-meg card, I wouldn't count on it. After all, the whole reason for MA3 is to take advantage of the hardware advancements that have ocurred since v2.6 came out.

(I have tried it on my old Sony Vaio with a 32-meg SiS chip, and it did run at 800x600x16, but with a low frame rate of about 20 fps.)

Wow!

This thread has recently passed the 2 year mark! Jav's first post was 08-17-2006! I remember last year about this time we were hoping for an MA3 Christmas present. Will we get it this year?

Just spent two days trying to figure out why one of my variables couldn't be seen by all the functions in my program. I finally asked Edgar, and he told me. Back to forward progress.

Thanks for sharing the progress... Nice to see it's getting close to beta.

Got most of the bugs in the new interface fixed, but I've decided to slightly re-think the logic of how it will work. The way I have it now, there is a chart of all the fish, and you can click on each one. Once clicked, you can increase or decrease the number of that type of fish in the tank. You can also include it in the random mix. There is a separate control to set the number of random fish.

It gets a bit confusing when a bunch of fish have been included as random possibilites, but the number of random fish is zero. Or, the number of random fish might be greater than zero, but no fish have been marked for possible inclusion.

I'm thinking of approaching from the opposite angle - a fish is assumed to be available for the Random mix unless it's specifically disabled. The Random generator would chose first from those fish which are not specifically chosen, but are not disabled. If it runs out of those, it would start duplicating fish.

Am I the only one thinking the topic of the fish picker design should be in a red thread?
Thanks to Morgan, Tiny Snapshots is up and running again with "Tiny Järvafält" as the latest addition – Go have a look and tell me what you think.

"We knew the world would not be the same. A few people laughed, a few people cried, most people were silent.
I remembered the line from the Hindu scripture, the Bhagavad-Gita. Vishnu is trying to persuade the Prince that he should do his duty and to impress him takes on his multi-armed form and says,
'Now, I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds.'
I suppose we all thought that, one way or another.
